Day 01 : Bangalore
Upon arrival at
Bangalore, our Executive will meet
you at the Airport followed by transfer
from Airport to Hotel. After lunch
we start at 14.00hrs for sight seeing
of Bangalore visiting - Vidhan
Souda-one of India most spectacular
building that houses the secretariat
and the state legislature, onward
we visit The Government Museum
one of the oldest in India established
in 1864, the Bull temple
one of the oldest temples of
Bangalore built in Dravidian style
and houses a monolith Nandi (bull)
of huge size and the Tipu Sulthan
Palace a palace completed
of 1971 by Tippu sulthan. Finally
we visit the ISKCON Temple (International
Society For Krishna Consciousness).
This ornate temple built on a hillock
with granite, marble and Korean glass,
is a huge cultural complex and was
established to promote Vedic culture
and spiritual learning. Later return
to hotel. Overnight at Hotel in Bangalore
Day 02 : Bangalore
- Hassan
Checkout from the
hotel after breakfast at 07.30am and
drive to Hassan. Enroute visit - Saravanabelagola,
the famous Jain pilgrim center &
one of the oldest in India. The place
is known as one of the greatest monuments
of Jain art. The collosul statue of
Gomateswara with a height of 57 feet
is situated on the summit of Indragiri
hill. It is one of the two giant sculptures
in the world, after the Collosus Ramses
II in Egypt. Later drive a short while
to reach the hotel in Hassan. At 14.00hrs
visit to the famous Hoysala temples
of Belur & Halebid.
The 12th century temples of Belur
and Halebid stands the most beautiful
for its most beautiful sculptures
when compared to any other temples
in south India. Typically these temples
are squat & star shaped. Its outstanding
sculptures all over the walls and
pillars states the stories from the
old epics of Ramayana, Mahabharatha
& Bhagavath Geetha enabling to
know of Hindu culture. It also describes
the story of the rulers of Karnataka
and their interest in dance and music.
Return to the hotel in the evening.

Day 03 : Hassan
- Mysore
Departing the hotel
at 08.00am and drive to Mysore
the palace city of South India. On
arrival at Mysore, sight seeing tour
of Mysore visiting the Famous
Palace of Mysore: Built
in 1912 in the indo Saracenic style,
this palace exudes a grandeur that
is unmatched and then on to The Jayachanarajendra
Art Gallery housed in the Jaganmohan
palace: that has a collection of Exquisite
paintings dating back to 1875. Later
drive to hotel and check in. Later
check in to the hotel and at 16.00hrs
visit to the bull temple (a 4.8mts
monolith) on the middle of hill on
the way to Chamundi temple and then
to visit the Chamumdi Hill Temple
at a height of 1062mts. The 2000-year-old
temple is dedicated to Goddess Chamundi.
A seven storey, 40mts high tower,
dominates the temple. Overnight at
hotel in Mysore.
Day 04 : Mysore
Bangalore - Cochin
Checkout from hotel
at 07.30am and drive to Bangalore
to board flight to Cochin - a cosmopolitan
city in the federal state of Kerala.
On arrival at Cochin you will be transferred
to hotel. Evening at 17.00hrs visit
to the famous dance drama of Kerala,
the Kathakali. This dance
can be characterized by grotesque
gesticulations, amazing costumes and
very extensive make-up. The stories
are mostly taken from the epics Mahabharatha
and Ramayana. Overnight at Hotel in
Cochin.
Day 05 : Cochin
After breakfast,
at 09.00am proceed for sight seeing
tour of Cochin visiting - The
Jewish Synagogue at the heart
of what is locally called the Jew
Town, The St. Francis Church,
the oldest European Church in India,
The Santa Cruz Basilica
originally built in 1557 by the Portuguese,
The Dutch Palace and Spice market
at the narrow streets. Later return
to hotel and in the evening at 18.00hrs
visit to the Chinese fishing
nets huge cantilevered fishing
nets believed to have brought to Kochi
by Chinese traders. Evenings by the
Chinese fishing area is very lively
with the daily fish market in here.
All the live catch from time to time
comes to sale. If you are a person
who like to eat fish, then you can
buy very fresh fish from here and
ask the nearby restaurant to cook
the same for you. Later return to
hotel. Overnight at hotel in Cochin.
Day 06 : Cochin
- Alleppey
Checkout from the
hotel at 10.30am and we drive to Alleppey
The land of Backwater. On arrival,
at 12.00noon check-in to the private
House Boat which is waiting to take
you on a tour through the backwaters,
a splendid area full of canals, lakes
and coves. You can sunbathe on the
deck or observe the landscape from
the protection of the cabin. The populations
whole life takes place here on the
water. The people sail, fish, swim
and bathe here. They do their washing
and their washing up. They are so
adapted to the water that you can
see people talking for an hour, while
they are up to their necks in water.
Peddlers take care of the supplies
and the public transport goes on the
water. Countless water birds wait
for their chance to catch a fish.
The trip goes through a wonderful
area full of palm trees, rice fields
and floating water plants that surround
the boat like emerald Green Island.

Day 07 : Alleppey
- Kovalam
Disembark from
Houseboat at 10.00am and drive to
Kovalam beach which is
rich with palm trees. The journey
through the tropical landscape of
Kerala gives a good idea of people
living in here. Kovalam beach is one
of the most beautiful seaside resorts
in India. On arrival Kovalam check
in to hotel and rest of the day at
leisure. Overnight at hotel in Kovalam.
Day 08 : Kovalam
(Return excursion to Kanyakumari)
After early breakfast
at 08.00am drive to Kanniyakumari
(Cape comorin) for a day return excursion.
Kanyakumari is at the tail point of
India, where the three seas meet together.
This place is famous for the spectacular
sunset and moonrise. The Vivekananda
rock on the island is reachable by
the ferry. There is also a recently
built memorial to Tiruvalluvar, the
author of the philosophical work Tirukkural
- a treatise on the Indian way of
life. The temple of Kumari Amman (the
virgin lady) and Gandhi Memorial are
some of the finest attractions. Enroute
you will also visit the famous wooden
palace at Padmanabhapuram. Return
to hotel late evening. Overnight at
hotel in Kovalam.
Day 09 : Kovalam
- Periyar
Check out from
hotel after breakfast at 07.30am and
drive to Periyar (also known as Thekkady).
The name periyar comes after the Dam
made here by the English in 1895.
A wild life reserve hence is an ideal
place to track down wild life such
as Elephants, Bison, Deer and numerous
other varieties of birds. The landscape
here is with very tropical and you
will be surrounded by tea, coffee
& other spices. On arrival check
on to hotel and at 16.00hrs leave
for a guided plantation tour to the
nearby garden where in various species
of spices and other aromatic plants
are cultivated. The guide explains
& Clarifies your doubts on this
tour. Depending on the days
opportunity you will also taken to
visit a tea factory nearby. Overnight
at hotel in Thekkady.
Day 10 : Periyar
Early morning at
06.00am you go on a Guided Jungle
walk at the Periyar tiger reserve/national
park. This 03hrs walk (not very hard)
is very interesting and gives you
the chance to see the wildlife life
at a very close distance. If you are
lucky you may even spot the rarely
sighted leopards & tigers. Return
to hotel and rest. At 15.30hrs we
leave for the most popular boat trip
at the National Park - the best way
to observe game in wild is by boat.
There are many animals to see, including
herds of elephants, bisons and
packs of wild boars that roam through
the woods and parade along the shores
of the lake just before sunrise and
sunset. You can also see also different
species of apes. The golden langur
monkey that lives here is rarely seen
in the rest of India. Other animals
in Periyar are otters and porcupines.
Water turtles can often be seen sunning
themselves on the pieces of wood that
stick out of the water. Osprey and
Cormorants belong to the most important
species of birds in this area. Overnight

Day 11 : Periyar
- Madurai
Depart from hotel
at 08.00am and drive to Madurai
the old city of Tamilnadu. The name
Madurai reminds the city of the legend
that a drop of sweet nectar from the
hair of the god Shiva fell to earth
here. Madhuram means sweet
in Sanskrit. On arrival check in to
hotel and at 14.00hrs for sight seeing
tour of Madurai visiting - the famous
Meenakshi Temple, where thousands
of priests and worshippers come daily,
people are blessed by the temple elephant.
Further more visit the Tirumalai Nayak
palace and Gandhi Museum. Later return
to hotel and after dinner visit Meenakshy
temple for the ceremony with a fanfare,
where the god Shiva is lead to the
bedroom of his wife, Meenakshi. Madurai
is also a great place to look for
bronze statues, carpets or other souvenirs.

Day 12 : Madurai
- Tanjore Via Trichy
Checking out from
the hotel after early breakfast at
08.00am and we drive to Trichy
a town situated on the banks of river
Cauvery. A Journey of 3.00hrs will
bring you to Trichy and on arrival
visit the famous Sriranganathaswami
temple at Srirangam - The most
revered of the 108 pilgrimage shrines
of Vishnu, and the largest temple
complex in all India, it is surrounded
by seven concentric walls (the outermost
wall having a perimeter of over 3
kilometres) and 21 towers called Gopurams.
The most attractive among the Gopuras
is the one at the entrance with lot
of colors and stands one of the tallest
amongst many other temple towers in
Tamilnadu. Srirangam enshrines a statue
of Vishnu reclining on a great serpent.
Later we drive to Tanjore - the Chola
Citadel. On arrival check in to hotel
and after lunch at 15.00hrs for sight
seeing of Tanjore visiting
the world Heritage Brihadeshwara Temple
(dedicated to lord shiva in the form
of Linga) & The Palace Museum.
Later return to hotel and relax. Overnight
at Hotel in Tanjore.
Day 13 : Tanjore
- Kumbakonam
With a relaxed
check out of the day at 09.00am we
start from Tanjore and drive to reach
Kumbakonam a typical tamilnadu
town, where in you will visit the
famous temples Gangaikonda Cholapuram
(famous Shiva temple) with its beautiful
high towers full with many small sculptures
depicting stories of old epics. Proceed
to visit Darasuram temple (built in
memory of the White elephant - AIRAVATH
from the gods family), the temple
has its original name as "Airavatheshwar
temple". Further drive a short
while to reach Swamimalai and on arrival
check-in to the Heritage hotel of
Sterling resorts. Rest of the day
free to explore this heritage resort
on your own. Overnight at hotel in
Swamimalai.
Day 14 : Kumbakonam
- Mamallapuram Via. Pondicherry
Check out from
hotel at 08.00am and drive to the
laid-back beach resort of Mamallapuram.
Enroute sight seeing of Pondicherry
a former French enclave that
is especially famous because of the
mystic Sri Aurobindo. At Pondicherry
visit Sri Aurobindo Ashram
& Govt Museum. Later
lunch at a nice hotel and then on
visit Auroville
the French village where in you will
visit the Matrimandir (the mothers
place) & the tourist information
center of Auroville. From here you
drive for less than 02hrs on the scenic
highway to reach Mamallapuram. On
arrival at Mamallapuram check in to
hotel and relax at the beach. Overnight
at hotel in Mamallapuram.
Day 15 : Mamallapuram
After breakfast
sight seeing of Mamallapuram visiting
The Arjuna`s Penance
(Bass Relief), Five rathas
(symbolises equality of men &
women) & the famous Shore
temple. Apart from the above
said monuments we also visit many
other cave temples. As a special visit,
we will take you to a Sculpture studio.
Return to hotel for lunch and rest
of the day at leisure on the beach.
Evening, enjoy a farewell dinner at
the residing hotel. Overnight at hotel
in Mamallapuram.
Day 16 : Chennai
(Depart)
Check out from
the hotel according to flight timing
and the tour ends today with a departure
transfer to Chennai airport, according
to your flight timing.
