Day 01 : Chennai
Upon arrival in Chennai, our Executive
will meet you at the Airport followed
by transfer from Airport to Mamallapuram.
On arrival at Mamallapuram check in
to hotel. Overnight at hotel in Mamallapuram.
Day 02 : Mamallapuram
After breakfast
proceed at 08.00am for sight seeing
of Mamallapuram by Walk. We call it
the History walk of Mamallapuram
which includes visits to all Major
places of Interest (7th century monuments),
a visit to Sculpture studio, a local
snake charmers snake show including
small magic right from his sleeve.
This 03hrs interesting walk starts
at the The Arjuna`s Penance (Bass
Relief) and onward visiting monuments
of Krishnas Butterball, Rayalagopuram,
Ganeshratha, Varahacave, Ottikkal
mandapam, Trimurthi caves, Koneri
mandapam, Lions throne, Mahishasuramardini
mandapam, Dharmaraja mandapam, Ramanuja
mandapam, Five rathas (symbolises
equality of men & women) &
to end with at the famous Shore temple.
To taste the south Indian flavor we
have included a banana leaf lunch
at one of the oldest restaurants of
Mamallapuram. Return to hotel and
at rest of the day at leisure. Overnight
at Hotel in Mamallapuram.
Day 03 : Mamallapuram
- Tanjore
After breakfast
check out from hotel at 07.30am and
drive to Tanjore. Enroute visit Gangaikonda
Cholapuram - (famous Shiva temple)
with its beautiful high towers full
with many small sculptures depicting
stories of old epics. Then on proceed
to visit Darasuram temple (built in
memory of the White elephant
AIRAVATH from the gods family), the
temple has its original name as Airavatheshwar
temple. After visiting in here
we stop for lunch around 01.30
02.00pm at Kumbakonam. After lunch
we head to reach Tanjore - the Chola
Citadel. Check in to hotel at Tanjore
and after refreshment proceed for
sight seeing tour visiting - the world
famous Brihadeshwar temple (houses
one of Asias biggest nandi
the bull). The temple built by the
cholas is very special for its architecture.
The most exiting is that the temple
does not have a shadow falling on
ground at any time of day but falls
on its own body. Then visit the Bronze
gallery at palace museum. As a special
visit we will bring you to a village
on the out skirts of Tanjore for a
glance on people at work making Bronze
Statues & Glass paintings. Overnight
at hotel in Tanjore.
Day 04 : Tanjore
- Trichy
After breakfast
check out of hotel and drive to Trichy
on arrival check in to hotel. After
refreshment proceed for sight seeing
of Trichy a town situated on
the banks of river Cauvery visiting
the famous Sriranganathaswami
temple at Srirangam - The most
revered of the 108 pilgrimage shrines
of Vishnu, and the largest temple
complex in all India, it is surrounded
by seven concentric walls (the outermost
wall having a perimeter of over 3
kilometers) and 21 towers called Gopurams.
The most attractive among the Gopuras
is the one at the entrance with lot
of colors and stands one of the tallest
amongst many other temple towers in
Tamilnadu. Srirangam enshrines a statue
of Vishnu reclining on a great serpent.
As the next place we visit the Rock
fort temple at the main town.
A 437 rock cut steps will reach you
to the Ganesh Shrine on top of this
rock. A view of entire Trichy town
from here is breath taking. Overnight

Day 05 : Trichy
- Madurai
Depart from hotel
at 09.00am and drive to Madurai
the old city of Tamilnadu. The name
Madurai reminds the city of the legend
that a drop of sweet nectar from the
hair of the god Shiva fell to earth
here. Madhuram means sweet
in Sanskrit. On arrival check in to
hotel and at 14.00hrs for sight seeing
tour of Madurai visiting - the famous
Meenakshi Temple, where thousands
of priests and worshippers come daily,
people are blessed by the temple elephant.
Further more visit the Tirumalai Nayak
palace and Gandhi Museum. Later return
to hotel and after dinner visit Meenakshy
temple for the ceremony with a fanfare,
where the god Shiva is lead to the
bedroom of his wife, Meenakshi. Madurai
is also a great place to look for
bronze statues, carpets or other souvenirs.

Day 06 : Madurai
- Periyar
Check out from
hotel after breakfast at 08.00am and
drive to Periyar (also known as Thekkady).
The name periyar comes after the Dam
made here by the English in 1895.
A wild life reserve hence is an ideal
place to track down wild life. On
arrival at Periyar check in to hotel
and at 01.00pm leave for guided plantation
tour to the nearby garden where in
various species of spices and other
aromatic plants are cultivated. The
guide explains & Clarifies your
doubts on this tour. Depending on
the days opportunity you will
also taken to visit a tea factory
nearby. At 04.0pm enjoy the most popular
boat trip at the National Park - the
best way to observe game in wild at
periyar is by boat. There are many
animals to see, including herds of
elephants, bisons and packs
of wild boars that roam through the
woods and parade along the shores
of the lake just before sunrise and
sunset. You can also see also different
species of apes. The golden langur
monkey that lives here is rarely seen
in the rest of India. Other animals
in Periyar are otters and porcupines.
Water turtles can often be seen sunning
themselves on the pieces of wood that
stick out of the water. Osprey and
Cormorants belong to the most important
species of birds in this area. Overnight

Day 07 : Periyar
- Cochin
Check out from
hotel after breakfast at 08.00am and
drive to Cochin - a cosmopolitan city
in the federal state of Kerala. Enroute
many photo stops as you drive down
hill through the beautiful landscapes
of this area. We also stop at a Rubber
plantation enroute. On arrival at
cochin, check in to hotel and relax.
In the evening at 05.30pm visit the
famous dance drama of Kerala, the
Kathakali. This dance
can be characterized by grotesque
gesticulations, amazing costumes and
very extensive make-up. The stories
are mostly taken from the epics Mahabharatha
and Ramayana. Overnight at hotel in
Cochin.
Day 08 : Cochin
After breakfast,
at 09.00am proceed for sight seeing
tour of Cochin visiting - The
Jewish Synagogue at the heart
of what is locally called the Jew
Town, The St. Francis Church,
the oldest European Church in India,
The Santa Cruz Basilica
originally built in 1557 by the Portuguese,
The Dutch Palace and Spice market
at the narrow streets. Later return
to hotel and in the evening at 18.00hrs
visit to the Chinese fishing
nets huge cantilevered fishing
nets believed to have brought to Kochi
by Chinese traders. Later return to
hotel and free for own activities.
Evening by the Chinese fishing area
is very lively and interesting with
the daily fish market in here. All
the live catch from time to time comes
to sale in front of the Chinese fishing
area. If you are person who will like
to eat fish, then you can buy very
fresh fish from here and ask the nearby
restaurant to cook the same for you.

Day 09 : Cochin
- Ooty
Checking from hotel
after early breakfast at 07.30am and
drive to Ooty (Uthagamandalam) - the
famous hill station in the Nilgiri
Hills (Blue mountain) which was found
by the British in the early 19th century.
In early days this place was inhabited
by tribal people named Todas. Its
green landscape, gardens and tall
eucalyptus trees adds beauty to this
hill. We drive until Conoor where
in we will board the famous miniature
stem train to Ooty at 01.35pm. Arrive
Ooty at 02.50pm and check in to hotel.
The train trip offers you many stunning
view points and is definitely a memorable
experience while on this tour. At
Ooty check in to hotel and onward
for sight seeing of Ooty visiting
Botanical garden ( the most popular
place of interest in Ooty), Doddabeda
(Highest peak of Tamilnadu) &
the Market at the main town. Overnight
at Hotel in Ooty.
Day 10 : Ooty
- Mysore
Check out from
hotel after breakfast at 09.00am and
drive to Mysore the palace
city of South India. On arrival check
in to hotel and after lunch, sight
seeing of Mysore visiting the
Famous Palace of Mysore
which was once the residential of
Wodeyars and is one of the largest
of its kind in India. Built in 1912
in the indo Saracenic style, this
palace exudes a grandeur that is unmatched.
Then on visit the Jayachamsrajendra
Art Gallery housed in the Jaganmohan
palace. This gallery has a collection
of Exquisite paintings dating back
to 1875. Further visit to the bull
temple (a 4.8mts monolith) on the
middle of hill on the way to Chamundi
temple and then to visit the Chamumdi
Hill Temple at a height of 1062mts.
The 2000-year-old temple is dedicated
to Goddess Chamundi. A seven storey,
40mts high tower, dominates the temple.

Day 11 : Mysore
After early breakfast
at 08.00am we proceed for a day return
excursion to Somnathpur and Srirangapattinum.
Somnathpur - one need not search far
for its history. An inscribed stone
slab, in old Kannada, at the entrance
says it all. The reigning monarch
was Narasimha III (1254-91 A.D.) whose
full regal title runs into a sizeable
paragraph: "Sri Vishnuvaradhana,
Pratapa Chakravarti, Hoysala Bhujabala,
Sri Vira Narasimha, Maharajadhiraja,
Raja Paramesvara, Sanivarasiddhi,
Giridurgamalla etc. Later we drive
to Srirangapattinam - place with Ancient
history is an Island fortress town
on the bank of river cauvery. Visit
the Srirengapatnam fort and the summer
palace of Tippu sultan. After sightseeing
of Srirengapatnam around 13.30hrs
break for lunch at a nice resort in
same town. After lunch we visit Ranganathittu
Bird Sanctuary at a 3km distance on
one of the three islands in the Cauvery
River. Its a good place to see
Storks, Ibis, Egrets, Darters, Spoonbills
and Cormorants round the year. Return
to hotel in the evening and rest of
the day for own activities. Overnight
at Hotel in Mysore.
Day 12 : Mysore
- Hassan
Checkout from the
hotel after breakfast at 07.30am and
drive to Hassan. Enroute visit - Saravanabelagola,
the famous Jain pilgrim center &
one of the oldest in India. The place
is known as one of the greatest monuments
of Jain art. The collosul statue of
Gomateswara with a height of 57 feet
is situated on the summit of Indragiri
hill. It is one of the two giant sculptures
in the world, after the Collosus Ramses
II in Egypt. Later drive a short while
to reach the hotel in Hassan. At 14.00hrs
visit to the famous Hoysala temples
of Belur & Halebid.
The 12th century temples of Belur
and Halebid stands the most beautiful
for its most beautiful sculptures
when compared to any other temples
in south India. Typically these temples
are squat & star shaped. Its outstanding
sculptures all over the walls and
pillars states the stories from the
old epics of Ramayana, Mahabharatha
& Bhagavath Geetha enabling to
know of Hindu culture. It also describes
the story of the rulers of Karnataka
and their interest in dance and music.
Return to the hotel in the evening.

Day 13 : Hassan
- Hospet
Check out from
hotel after breakfast at 08.00am and
drive to Hospet. Its tourist importance
lies in its proximity to Hampi, the
site of the medieval Vijayanagar Empire,
situated about 13 kms away. The Tungabhadra
Dam here harnesses the sweet waters
of the Tungabhadra River. At the base
of the dam is a garden styled along
Japanese lines. On arrival check in
to hotel. If you are interested an
evening visit to the Dam is worth
visiting. Overnight at hotel in Hospet.
Day 14 : Hospet
HAMPI, the seat
of the famed VIJAYANAGARA empire was
the capital of the largest empire
in post-mogul India, covering several
states. The 14th Century Ruins of
Hampi lies scattered in about 26 sq.
km area, amidst giant boulders and
vegetation. The splendid remains of
palaces and gateways of the broken
city tells a tale of men infinite
talent and power of creativity together
with his capacity for senseless destruction.
Every rock, every path and every monument
at Hampi speak the same language;
a language of glory and beauty. Some
important attractions are 1) The temple
of Malyavanta Raghunathaswamy - built
in the Dravidian style. 2) The Hampi
Bazaar, 35 yards wide and nearly 800
yards long was known to be a "very
beautiful street with very beautiful
houses". 3) The Virupaksha Temple
rises majestically at the western
end of the famous Hampi Bazaar. 4)
The 6.7m tall monolith of Ugra Narasimha
and 5) The most splendid monument
of Hampi the Vithala Temple Complex
with its 56 musical pillars. Return
to hotel late after noon and rest.

Day 15 : Hospet
- Badami
After breakfast
check out hotel at 08.00am and drive
to Badami - Capital of the ancient
South Indian Kingdom of the Chalukyas.
On arrival check in to hotel and onward
proceed for sight seeing of rock-cut
cave temples in here. Numbering five,
these temples are over thirteen hundred
years old. They have been carved out
of the red sandstone hills surrounding
Badami. Apart from rock-cut temples,
the most important place of interest
to be visited is the monuments at
Aihole & Pattadakkal.
Aihole famous as the "Cradle
of Indian Architecture", has
over a hundred temples scattered around
the village. The oldest temple here
is perhaps, the Lad Khan temple
dating back to the 5th Century. The
Durga (Fort) Temple is notable
for its semi-circular apse, elevated
plinth and the gallery that encircles
the sanctum. The Hutchimalli
Temple out in the village -
has a sculpture of Vishnu sitting
atop a large cobra. Not to be missed
is the Konthi Temple Complex
(Kwanthi Gudi). At Pattadakkal visit
the prime attractions such as Virupaksha
temple, Jambulinga temple
, Jain temples and the
Mallikarjuna & Papanatha temples.
Evening enjoy a farewell dinner at

Day 16 : Departure
Transfer to Goa
Check out of hotel
and drive to Goa. Tour ends today
with a departure transfer to Goa.
